When you come out of hospital after a mental health crisis, you are vulnerable. Getting the right care and support to help you put your life back together is critical.  It saves lives. Our survey found that people who were not followed up within the first week of leaving hospital were twice as likely to take their own life. This must change.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) provides guidance to improve health and social care in England and Wales.

Sign our letter to NICE and ask them to change their guidelines to make sure everyone gets followed up within 48 hours of leaving hospital.

The current standard is seven days. This is simply too long to wait when your recovery is still at risk.
